Applying to Multimodal AI Lab

If you are interested in joining our lab, please send your CV to application (at) mm.kaist.ac.kr with the title [Application Type] Your Full Name (e.g., [MS Application] Hong Gildong or [Individual Study Application] John Doe). The CV should include your GPA and English proficiency score.

Undergraduate individual study (KAIST students)

We welcome KAIST students in their third year or above to apply for individual study positions. Please also send your transcript when you apply.

Undergraduate internship

For KAIST students, paid internship positions will be considered for students who completed one semester of individual study in our lab.

Prospective MS students

For MS, you are not required to have an advisor at the time of application. Lab placement takes place after the admissions decision.

MS/PhD offers will be made only to exceptionally qualified candidates. I encourage that you apply to the MS program first.

Prospective PhD students

For PhD, you are required to have an advisor at the time of application.

Preference will be given to students who have completed a master's degree under my supervision. I will still consider highly qualified candidates from other groups with strong publication records in relevant conferences (e.g. CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ICASSP and Interspeech).

International students

You must be comfortable in either Korean or English. We recommend that you have one of the following qualifications: TOPIK (한국어능력시험) Level 5, TOEFL iBT 100, TOEIC 900.
